Abstract

Invasive diseases cause enormous economic damage to poultry farms in the Altai Region. Eimeriosis is an invasive disease; its causative agent is most often localized in the epithelial cells of the intestine. Eimeriosis affects all chicken breeds, but not all ages, namely chickens of the aged from 10 to 80 days. The research goal is to develop a system of therapeutic and preventive measures to combat with eimeriosis on the poultry farm of the OOO “Ptitsefabrika Molodezhnaya”. The treatment and prevention methods were studied in the period from August 14, 2023 to May, 20, 2024 on the poultry farm of the OOO “Ptitsefabrika Molodezhnaya”, the Pervomayskiy District of the Altai Region. The main focus of the farm is the production of table eggs, and the enterprise is also engaged in raising replacement young birds from hatching eggs from its own parent stock. According to official data from the accounting form No. 6-vet journal for recording the epizootic state of poultry farms on the incidence of eimeriosis in poultry and the results of our own research on the poultry farm of the OOO “Ptitsefabrika Molodezhnaya” in the period of 2023 and 2024, the flock was infected with eimeriosis in different percentages. Eimeriosis was widespread on the poultry farm of the OOO “Ptitsefabrika Molodezhnaya”. The number of cases of eimeriosis infection for the period from June 2023 to May 2024 was 205.0 thousand in young birds and 99.0 thousand in adult flock. The therapeutic efficacy of Baycox 2.5% at a dose of 0.4 mL per head was 64% on day 5, and 98.0% on day 10; Amprolium 30% at a dose of 0.2 g per head, the efficacy on day 5 was 53.0% and on day 10 day - 84.0%. The prophylactic decrease of prevalence owing to Amprolium 30% was 98% and Baycox 2.5% - 100%.
