Abstract

The research was carried out in 2023 on previously cultivated sod-podzolic light loamy soil in a reclaimed area of the experimental field of the Tver State Agricultural Academy. The research goal is to study the productivity of potato varieties Sadon and Gala against two backgrounds of mineral nutrition when using foliage application of complex fertilizers on a reclaimed site under the conditions of the Central Region of the Non-Chernozem Zone of the Russian Federation. The experimental design included: Factor A - Variety: A1 - Gala, A2 - Sadon; Factor B - Mineral nutrition background: B1 - N120P160K180; B2 - N120P160K180 + trace element additive of the OAO “Buyskiy khimicheskiy zavod” (Buy Chemical Plant) - 800 kg ha. Factor C - Foliage application: C1 - Control (no foliage application), C2 - Aquarin 12 (twofold foliage application), C3 - Humate +7 (twofold foliage application), C4 - Aquarin 12 (single foliage application) + Humate +7 (twofold foliage application). As a result, it was found that the maximum yield (40.7 t ha) was formed by the Sadon variety. The application of a trace element additive provided a reliable increase only for this variety (1.9 t ha). Against the background of the trace element additive, the greatest tuber production in the Sadon variety was provided by twofold application of the Humate+7 product; and in the Gala variety - Aquarin 12 + Humate +7. Against the background of the trace element additive for the Sadon variety, the yield gain was ensured by all foliage applications (3.9 - 4.6 t ha). In the Gala variety, the application of the trace element additive makes the use of all products ineffective which is probably due to the lower genetic potential of the variety and the oversaturation of plants with nutrients. A strong direct relationship was found between the yield of tubers and the density of plant standing to harvesting and the chlorophyll content index (CCI) (r = 0.76 and 0.80). Reliable regression equations were obtained.
