Abstract

Patent research shows that sowing machines and sowing complexes with coulters in the form of duckfoot tines are widely used. The improvement of the operation of sowing grain crops with such sowing machines is possible by installing a chisel on tine coulters which would ensure the application of liquid complex fertilizers into the prepared groove below the seed sowing level while a new distributor also mounted on the coulter would sow the seeds in the space below the tines in two strips. The proposed design solution allows applying pelleted and liquid fertilizers simultaneously with sowing seeds. The paper discusses the theoretical prerequisites for the technological process of a combined tine coulter equipped with a chisel forming a groove with a compacted bottom below the depth of the coulter pass. As a result of the theoretical studies, the power characteristics of the working process of the tine coulter were determined. The design and operating parameters of a chisel with an obtuse angle of entry into the soil were separately substantiated. The obtained calculation results indicate the expediency of using a combined coulter on stubble seeders with pneumatic or gravity seeding. Specific recommendations are given on choosing the design of the sowing section. The developed working body has a novelty with certain interrelations between the design parameters of the tine coulter with a chisel and the ability to apply liquid complex fertilizers below the seed level. The results obtained confirm the achievement of the goal of theoretical substantiation of the parameters of the combined tine coulter of a stubble seeder capable of carrying out pre-sowing tillage with sowing and application of pelleted and liquid mineral fertilizers in one pass.
