The research goal is the safety of agricultural machinery during non-working periods. The research targets are the latest developments related to the organization, technology and issues of corrosion protection during the storage of machinery. Research materials include scientific and practical developments related to the improvement of technology and materials used in putting equipment for long-term storage. The research goal is to analyze the scientific and practical data presented in recent years in the field of improving the organization and technology of storage of agricultural machinery using modern anti-corrosion protection. One of the most important components of the planned and preventive system for agricultural machinery due to the seasonal pattern of their use is the operations of putting the machinery into storage and removal from storage as well as maintenance during storage. The preservation of the working condition of agricultural machinery and equipment in non-working periods of the year is ensured by compliance with the recommendations on the organization and technology of storage of equipment. The regulatory and technical documentation for the storage of agricultural machinery provides for the use of labor-intensive organizational measures and technological operations aimed at protecting machine components from corrosive destruction of metals, ageing of parts made of rubber, polymers and other non-metallic materials as well as from the negative impact of other factors. The review of the latest scientific publications in the field of organization and technology of storage of agricultural machinery shows that in recent years numerous guidelines were developed to improve methods for protecting agricultural machinery from factors that reduce its reliability during storage. Nevertheless, the tasks of developing and manufacturing technological equipment for preparing machines for storage, modern preservation coatings, improving other means of protecting machine part surfaces are very relevant and are still an important scientific and practical task in the field of technical operation of agricultural machinery.
