Diseases of the urinary system are a problem of pets both in Russia and the world. Urolithiasis is most commonly reported in male cats. The development of urolithiasis is influenced by exogenous and endogenous factors. The research goal was to analyze the statistical data on urolithiasis cases of in male and female cats in the City of Barnaul and predisposing factors. We analyzed urolithiasis cases in male and female cats in the City of Barnaul by using the data of the Nagornyy Veterinary Office for the period of 2021 and 2022; the diagnosis was confirmed by previous clinical and laboratory studies. Fifteen animals were investigated: 13 males and 2 females, of different sex and age groups, breeds, castrated, neutered and non-neutered, non-sterilized. Data analysis showed that urolithiasis in our studies was registered in 91% of male cats and 9% of female cats. At most, the disease manifested in the age group of 2-3 years - 33.3% (of the total number of animals studied with a confirmed diagnosis). In the age groups up to 1 year and 4-5 years - 20%; in groups of 3-4 years and 5 years and older - 13.3%. Most often, namely in 33.3% of cases, the disease was recorded in outbred animals; in 20% of Persian cats; in 13.3% of British Shorthair and Scottish Fold cats; in 6.6% of Siamese and Exotic Shorthair cats. Our studies have shown that in 46.6% of cases, urolithiasis manifested in neutered cats. These data are necessary for the prevention and treatment of urolithiasis in male and female cats.
